The problem no one talks about
In the kitchen we assume that pots, moka pots and coffee machines are all the same. They are not.
When a metal is repeatedly heated and cooled, it expands and contracts. Each cycle can release microscopic traces of the metal itself into the liquid passing through it. This is not a feeling: it is a measured phenomenon.
A second study, published in Contact Dermatitis (2017), confirmed the release of nickel and chromium even under common domestic cooking conditions.
This is why the World Health Organization publishes specific guideline values for metals such as nickel and lead in drinking water: these are real, monitored contaminants, with internationally referenced thresholds. A coffee machine that works every day, several times a day, with hot water flowing through its metal components, is no exception to this principle.

Porcelain water tank
Porcelain does not react with water and protects it from light, keeping it more stable over time. It does not expand, and it releases nothing: it is chemically inert.

Pure 999 silver heater (110 g)
The heater in this machine is not brass or steel as in the standard versions: it is made of 99.9% pure silver, weighing 110 grams. Silver has been known for its natural antibacterial properties since 1893, when the so-called "oligodynamic effect" — the ability of small amounts of this metal to inhibit bacterial growth — was first described.
